SUMMARY
ISG Jubail seeks a dynamic MS/HS English Language & Literature & Social Studies teacher with a passion for leading student learning. Guided by the Common Core Standards for English, the C3 Framework for Social Studies, and the overarching philosophy of the International Baccalaureate. This person would demonstrate a commitment to a well-rounded and flexible English program that encompasses interdisciplinary connections, literacy, and authentic/relevant learning experiences. The ideal candidate will be passionate about student learning. ISG Jubail has a strong sense of community. The successful candidate would be committed to contributing to the whole school community beyond the confines of the English program. - Contribute to the creation and revision of the English & Social Studies curriculum.
- Share interests and passions with students through the after-school program.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Principal or Principal.
QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE
The candidate must have:
Qualifications
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (master's degree preferred).
- Current certification/licensure to teach English Language & Literature and Social Studies.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of the Common Core English standards, C3 Framework for Social Studies, and IB syllabi.
- Knowledge of Understanding by Design (UbD) principles.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Experience
- Teaching English & Social Studies at the middle/high school level in an international context.
- Leading and inspiring students to be informed community members and leaders.
- Organizing student projects and performance tasks.
- Documenting curriculum according to Understanding by Design (UbD) principles.
- Designing programs based on the Common Core standards, C3 Framework and IB syllabi.
- Collaborating in a professional setting with large and small groups of colleagues.
- Leading groups of students and faculty.
