SUMMARY
ISG Jubail seeks a dynamic Middle/High School STEAM and Mathematics teacher with a passion for guiding students to construct their own understanding of STEAM and Mathematics concepts, with a strong foundation in inquiry-based learning. This educator will align instruction with Common Core and NGSS, fostering interdisciplinary connections, literacy integration, and authentic, real-world applications. The ideal candidate will be committed to cultivating a flexible and engaging STEAM program that inspires curiosity, critical thinking, and innovation. The ideal candidate will be passionate about guiding students' learning. ISG Jubail has a strong sense of community. The successful candidate would be committed to contributing to the whole school community beyond the confines of the mathematics program. Specifically with regards to Middle/High school STEAM, and Mathematics, the successful candidate will be able to effectively:
- Scaffold student learning to construct their own understanding of STEAM and Mathematics concepts.
- Guide students in using multiple representations to explore and apply STEAM and Mathematics principles.
- Foster an environment where students passionately exercise agency in their STEAM and Mathematics learning.
- Serve as a champion for students, inquiry-driven learning, and the Middle/High School program.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the STEAM and Mathematics curriculum.
- Share interests and expertise with students through engaging after-school programs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE
The candidate must have:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Deep pedagogical content knowledge in STEAM and Mathematics disciplines.
- Current certification/licensure to teach STEAM and Mathematics subjects.
- An advanced degree in a related field of study.
- Knowledge and experience in teaching the Common Core mathematics standards.
- Knowledge and experience in teaching the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
- Knowledge of Understanding by Design (UbD) principles.
