Summary

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Mathematics Teacher for the Senior School, who will be a key member of the team and will be responsible for delivering Maths to KS3/4/5. 

Position Duties

The successful candidate will be able to effectively:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection).
  • Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with the goals and objectives of a clearly defined and documented curriculum.
  • Demonstrate creativity and innovation.
  • Deliver an active, hands-on and student-centred programme to promote learning.
  • Maintain a safe learning environment for pupils at all times.
  • Observe, monitor and record student progress.
  • Respond appropriately to the range of individual needs and abilities within the class.
  • Be fluent in English, oral and written.
  • Take the guidance role of a form tutor and promote student wellbeing and academic care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Headteacher and Head of Department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in the subject area of employment (master’s degree preferred) 
  • Current teacher certification in the required subject area from a recognized institution.  

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience:

  • Previous experience of teaching KS3, IGCSE and A level mathematics within an accredited school system (preferred).
  • Experience with G Suite.

Skills:

  • Ability to demonstrate a track record of continued professional development.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Good interpersonal skills in interacting with students, parents and colleague.
  • Ability to supervise students in non-classroom settings.
  • Ability to work independently and to collaborate within a team.
  • Ability to lead an after-school activity.
