SUMMARY
The payroll specialist will be responsible to perform the end‑to‑end monthly payroll processing for all ISG’s campuses. Ensure accurate, timely pay and compliance with Saudi labor requirements. Maintain secure records and provide informational support to staff.
JOB DUTIES
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection).
- Run monthly payroll for expatriate and locally hired staff, substitutes, as well as ad‑hoc and benefit payments.
- Administer timely processing of employee benefit payments (e.g. lump sum allowances, stipends, etc.).
- Ensure accurate payment of overtime, after-school activity compensation, and any additional amounts due to employees and substitutes.
- Verify that all mandatory and authorized deductions (e.g. dependent fees, unpaid leaves, tardiness, etc.) are accurately reflected in employees payroll.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality.
- Perform data collection, obtain approvals, and submit bank salary files.
- Review workflow and suggest automation and standardization of payroll processes.
- Calculate end‑of‑service (EOS) benefits in line with Saudi Labor Law and prepare final settlement accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure all payroll compliance aligns with HR and government regulations, policies, and laws.
- Prepare monthly payroll journals; reconcile payroll‑related general ledger accounts.
- Maintain and monitor the Employee Advances ledger to ensure accurate recording of employee advance transactions including end-of-service prepayment, dependent fees, and similar items.
- Coordinate with the HR and Government Compliance department when needed where payroll is affected.
- Communicate with the bank as needed.
- Supports internal and external audits by providing payroll records.
- Suggest updates to policies and procedures based on changes in laws and ISG’s policies and regulations.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have:
- Knowledge of labor laws in Saudi Arabia.
- Proficient knowledge in MS Excel and Google Sheets.
- Familiarity with ERP and payroll systems and processes.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience in Saudi Arabia in a mid‑ to large organization (K‑12 school/ non‑profit organization experience preferred).
Skills
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- English language proficiency; this includes reading, writing, speaking and comprehension.
- High attention to detail.
- Numerical, analytical and problem solving skills to proactively identify issues and recommend solutions and process improvements.
- Organizational skills to plan key milestones, payment dates and prioritize tasks.

- Ability to work with banks and information systems’ providers to ensure accuracy of data and timely payments.
