SUMMARY
The Educational Technology Coordinator serves as a strategic leader and innovative catalyst for technology integration across ISG’s five schools, located on four sites, providing high-quality Kindergarten 1/ Foundation Stage 1 to Grade 12/ Year 13 education to students.
Reporting to the Head of Educational Technology, the Educational Technology Coordinator works collaboratively with leaders, faculty, students, and families to enhance learning outcomes through effective and innovative use of instructional technology.
Note: This position is a one-year schoolwide position working with the Head of Educational Technology and the school campuses for the development of the schoolwide program after which it will be appointed to one of the school campus educational technology positions.

Technology Integration & Instructional Support
- Develop and implement comprehensive technology integration strategies aligned with curriculum standards and best practices in KG 1/ FS 1 - Grade 12/ Year 13 education.
- Provide ongoing professional development, coaching, and mentorship to faculty on effective use of instructional technology tools and pedagogical approaches.
- Model and promote innovative teaching practices that leverage technology to enhance student engagement, critical thinking, and personalized learning.
- Visit classrooms regularly to provide embedded, just-in-time technology support and observe integration effectiveness.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend educational technology tools, platforms, and resources that support 21st-century learning outcomes.
- Facilitate the integration of emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, adaptive learning platforms, virtual/augmented reality, and digital collaboration tools.
- Support differentiated instruction through technology-enhanced learning experiences.
Curriculum Development & Digital Learning
- Collaborate with educational Technology personnel, curriculum coordinators and department heads to integrate technology seamlessly across all subject areas.
- Design and maintain digital curriculum resources and learning pathways for students KG 1/ FS 1 - Grade 12/ Year 13.
- Develop an age-appropriate digital citizenship and internet safety curriculum.
- Support implementation and optimization of the school's Learning Management System (LMS).
- Coordinate and support online and hybrid learning initiatives, ensuring continuity of learning.
- Promote AI literacy and ethical use of artificial intelligence tools among students and staff.
- Stay current with ISG curriculum standards and ensure technology integration aligns with international best practices.
Professional Development & Training
- Design and deliver comprehensive professional development programs on instructional technology for teachers, staff, and administrators.
- Provide differentiated training opportunities based on faculty technology proficiency levels.
- Create training materials, user guides, video tutorials, and documentation for various technology tools.
- Organize and facilitate technology user groups and professional learning communities.
- Support new faculty onboarding with technology orientation and training.
- Build capacity among staff to become technology leaders within their grade levels or departments.
- Provide training on data privacy, cybersecurity awareness, and responsible technology use.
Assessment & Data Management
- Support the implementation and management of digital assessment tools and platforms.
- Assist teachers in using technology for formative and summative assessment.
- Train staff on student information systems and data management tools.
- Utilize learning analytics to help teachers track student progress and identify intervention needs.
- Coordinate technology-based standardized testing (SAT, ACT, AP, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices for student data protection (e.g., Saudi Arabian data compliance law [PDPL] & ISG data privacy policies).
Technology Planning & Management
- Support the development and annual review of the school's educational technology plan.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic investments.
- Coordinate with the IT department to ensure instructional technology infrastructure meets teaching and learning needs.
- Support the selection, procurement, and implementation of instructional software and hardware.
- Support the inventory of educational technology resources and coordinate device management programs.
- Develop and enforce acceptable use policies for students, faculty, and staff.
- Ensure accessibility and equitable access to technology for all students.
Communication & Collaboration
- Serve as a liaison between faculty, administration, students, IT department, and external technology vendors.
- Support the communication of technology initiatives, updates, and best practices to the school community through newsletters, presentations, and the school website.
- Participate in school leadership meetings and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
- Collaborate with regional associations and other American overseas schools to share best practices.
- Represent the school at educational technology conferences and professional organizations.
- Engage with parents and families on topics related to student technology use and digital citizenship.
- Support student-led technology initiatives and clubs.
- Coordinate and support educational technology clubs and after-school activities that promote digital literacy and innovation.
- Mentor students in technology-related projects, competitions, and leadership opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Master's degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field (preferred).
- Valid teaching certification or administrative credential.
- Certification as Google Certified Educator, Microsoft Certified Educator, or Apple Teacher.
- ISTE Certification (Certified Educator or Educational Technology Coach).
Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have:
- Advanced proficiency with Learning Management Systems (Canvas, Google Classroom, Schoology, etc.).
- Expertise with Google Workspace for Education and/or Microsoft 365 for Education.
- Working knowledge of educational apps, digital tools, and instructional software across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Windows, ChromeOS).
- Understanding of network infrastructure, device management, and common educational technology issues.
- Familiarity with student information systems, assessment platforms, and data analytics tools.
- Knowledge of AI tools in education and their ethical implementation.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and assistive technologies.
- Deep understanding of research-based best practices in technology integration and digital pedagogy.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate technology use.
- Strong understanding of digital citizenship, internet safety, and cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with ISTE Standards for Educators, Students, and Administrators.
- Knowledge of data privacy laws (FERPA, COPPA, GDPR, PDPL) and ethical technology use.
- Understanding of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles.
- Awareness of current trends in educational technology including AI, personalized learning, gamification, and VR/AR.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Experience
The idealcandidate will have:
- Minimum 5 years of KG 1/ FS1 - Grade 12/ Year 13 teachingexperience with demonstrated excellence in classroom instruction.
- Minimum 3 years of experience integrating technology ineducational settings.
- Experience with educational technology coordination or leadership.
- Experience with video conferencing, digital collaboration, andcontent creation tools.
- Experience with Advanced Placement (AP), InternationalBaccalaureate (IB), (I)GCSE or A levels programs.
- Experience with educational research and program evaluation.
- Proven experience providing professional development and adultlearning opportunities.
- Experience in an American, Britishor International curriculum school.
- Leadership experience in technology integration or instructionalcoaching (preferred).
